What makes the quality of Ramptech’s quarter pipes, boxes and tables better than the competitions’ ramps?

Unlike our competitors who use a stock, unpainted, and untreated birch plywood (sides and surface), we use a pre-laminated birch plywood (sides). This means our products come with a phenolic lamination already on the outsides of the plywood. We also offer the paint kits needed to paint the cut plywood edges. This is included in every Ramp Kit. We also use an ABS plastic or Skatelite Pro surface on our halfpipes, which is grippy and does not splinter, delaminate, or warp like a plywood surface does. Plywood surfaces will decompose, splinter and rot very quickly outdoors. There is NO additional “Skate Paint “ or paint needed for our ramps because it's already done from the get go. This is one of our main objectives as we are an East Coast company with inclement weather.

How quickly does Ramptech ship products out?

We move fast! Usually ramps ship the same day or the next day.

How long does it take for shipping on quarter pipes, boxes, tables, and rails?

We ship these products via UPS ground, which can take anywhere from 1-5 days in the contiguous United States (48 states).

How long does it take for fabrication and shipping on halfpipes?

Allow 3-5 weeks for fabrication and shipping, but usually sooner.

Why are Ramptech halfpipes more expensive than the other guys out there?

We offer halfpipes which last outdoors for 8-10 years or more. All of our halfpipes come standard with phenolic laminated plywood, Skatelite Pro Riding surfaces, ACQ Pressure treated lumber/plywood (same lumber used for decks), galvanized or paint treated screws and hardware, and drainage. These materials cost more, however, last far longer than regular untreated lumber and plywood (like our competitors offer). Regular lumber and plywood will decompose very quickly outdoors, sometimes as quickly as 6 weeks. Ramptech has been in business for over 30 years making professional grade equipment We take pride in the longevity in both our business and our products.

What is the best way to make a halfpipe last outdoors?

Halfpipes should be made with materials that are durable and will last. Some of the methods and materials Ramptech uses to ensure longevity of our products are phenolic laminated plywood, Skatelite Pro Riding Surfaces, ACQ pressure treated lumber and plywood, and galvanized or paint treated screws and hardware. It is also important that they are made with drainage, so that water will go through them (similar to a deck). Don’t waste time with tarps. Tarps trap water inside making the water problem worse.
